Return and refund policy
Dead on arrival (DOA) products
For an item to be accepted as DOA, we must be contacted within 3 working days from receiving the product. Prototype DIY will test all DOA products for internal damage due to incorrect installation or use. If it is found to be a DOA product, a new product will be sent to the customer with free shipping. If the product is out of stock, Prototype DIY will refund the full product cost. DOA products can only be refunded if a new replacement is not in stock or if Prototype DIY can not get a replacement.
Product returns and refunds
Product shipping costs can not be refunded except if DOA.
A product can be returned within 5 days for a full refund under the following conditions:
-Item(s) must be in original un-opened packaging,
-Return shipping charges are not refundable
-Returns on items with free shipping will be refunded for the purchase price, less the shipping cost incurred initially to send you the items.
-Electrical parts/components/modules and other products connected to a power source are not returnable.
-Returned items are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
-You must contact us for a Return Authorization before returning any item
-Refunds will be issued using the same payment method as the original payment.
Electrical parts, components and modules are subject to internal damage that may not be apparent in testing. Such damage can result from improper installation or subject the part to adverse environmental conditions (heat, static electricity). The item may appear to function correctly, but its life may be shortened, or it may suffer intermittent failures and instability. For this reason, all electrical parts, components and modules are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Wrongly supplied items.
If a product was incorrectly supplied, we must be contacted within 3 working days from receiving the products. We will replace the product at our cost, free of any shipping charge.
