15W Mini Tesla Coil Plasma Speaker DIY Kit
It’s time to become the mad scientist you’ve always wanted to be! Build your own Tesla Coil that can play audio with the Power of Plasma.
As an Electronics enthusiast, there will have certainly been a time in your life in which you saw a tesla coil operating in all it’s glory, sending off pulses and strikes of electricity in all angles and terrifying audiences in bright and stark displays of raw electrical energy. And this is precisely why, when we found Hobbyist Electronics Kits for DIY Mini Tesla Coils, we just knew that we had to get them, so that we could finally become the mad scientists that we’ve always dreamed of being!
This DIY Mini Tesla Coil Kit is one of the most exciting products we’ve ever stocked, and is more than just a lightning-maker, but is also a 15W Plasma Speaker that features a 3.5mm Audio Input – to let you play music or audio samples with the Power of Plasma.
This Tesla Coil Kit works by creating a very high potential difference in voltage by utilising a long copper-wound cylinder, a primary coil, and a secondary coil running around the outside. This results in two coupled resonant circuits that interact with each other, so as to send off invisible electrical fields that can be seen by us humans as arcs of electricity. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to see all of the electrical arcs and fields coming off of the tesla coil (such as with the common “Plasma Balls” that you can purchase in popular science stores) but we can certainly see the effects of these arcs and fields as they light LED’s and other Components by simply placing these components nearby the coil.
Finally, just to sweeten this fantastic deal even further, this little tesla coil also features a 3.5mm audio input jack. This is because it can utilise the digital frequencies to affect the voltages of the coil, which produces some incredible results: The Plasma arcs actually make noise depending on the frequencies of the audio. This means that you can actually play music or audio samples through the little plasma arcs, and while it certainly isn’t loud enough to provide musical entertainment for a party, it is incredibly interesting and enjoyable to listen to the way that the electricity actually creates audio waves via the air vibrations made from the plasma arc.
